How do you make an already perfect venue even more spectacular? That was the challenge for event planner Nicole Reece of Elegant Inspirations at the Historic Grand Island Mansion.
Accents by Sage started with the classic simplicity of bright white florals at the ceremony site, setting off the impeccably verdant landscape. Next was the mansion’s Collonade room, the setting for many of the Sacramento area’s most fabulous wedding receptions. Nicole chose metallic gold with striking black accents to tie in to the mansion’s many gold and wrought iron elements, and it really introduced a new look to this classic venue. The head table was the highlight, with sequined gold linens and black runner. Guest tables were draped with striking gold satin, and chairs had black covers with gold satin bows. Tables included gold chargers under white plates with gold flatware.
Tables held tall, elegant centerpieces in whites with a pop of pink. Invitations and place cards complimented the theme perfectly and the period feel of the Grand Island Mansion. Lounge areas were created from empty spaces on the side patio area. Custom cake was adorned in edible gold foil with black and white accents.
